Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is more than a technique, it is an experience. Developed by John F. Barnes, P.T., in the late 1970s, MFR works when other treatments fail because it addresses the long-overlooked fascial system to affect permanent change in the body. Fascia can become restricted due to physical trauma, emotional trauma, illness and years of unbalanced posture. MFR is a whole-body approach which utilizes gentle, sustained pressure, allowing fascia to regain its pliability, thereby restoring function to the body and eliminating pain. Treatment programs include postural awareness exercises as well as stretches for you to use at home to increase your progress and empower you to take control of your pain.
